Danny Richardson of Richardson Plumbing Recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award 

The Plumbing & Mechanical Association of Georgia recognized Danny Richardson of Richardson Plumbing with a Lifetime Achievement Award at their 116th Annual Meeting held June 21, at Amelia Island Plantation.

One of PMA’s primary missions is to represent its members on public policy issues before Georgia State Government.  Much of the responsibility for carrying out that mission falls upon the PMA Legislative Chairman.  For the past 14 years, that critical post has been filled by Danny Richardson. 

But Danny did more than just fill a post.  He has been PMA’s eyes and ears, and he has been our voice.  He has recognized the needs of PMA members, and the issues affecting their businesses.  He has articulated those needs, communicating PMA’s positions on key issues to the legislature, the Governor’s office and state agencies. 

Danny “did us proud” during his 14 years as Legislative Chairman.  Not only was he an effective spokesman, he represented us with candor, honesty, and dignity.  His high ethical standards allowed PMA to always occupy the “high ground” as we worked to help shape public policy.

We are all deeply indebted to Danny for all the time and energy he gave to PMA.  We will be reaping the rewards of his work for years to come.

Danny told PMA in an interview once “ I’m very interested in what happens to the plumbing industry.  I believe that every person should belong to their industry association to try to make that industry and association better.  I believe in giving back.”  

Danny is receiving this Lifetime Achievement not only for the legislative work he has done, but also for the active participation in the organization over the last 20 years.  Danny has held the position of State President, President North GA PHCC , Secretary/Treasurer North GA PHCC, has served on numerous committees over the years and has been PMA’s acting  Secretary/Treasurer  for over 10 years.  Additionally, he has previously been awarded the Contractor of the Year Award in 1989 and again in 1999.

Danny we are proud to recognize that you have given back not only to PMA but the entire Plumbing Industry ten fold, and we are pleased to recognize you with this Lifetime Achievement Award.

PMA Legislative Chair Danny Richardson Recognized for Outstanding Service

The Plumbing & Mechanical Association of Georgia recognized its Legislative Chair Danny Richardson, Richardson Plumbing for outstanding service to the plumbing and mechanical industry during the 2007 legislative session.  “Danny’s oversight of the legislative process was critical in getting PMA HB 463 passed into law during the recent session”, stated Ellen Whitaker, PMA’s Executive Director.

Richardson Plumbing named Entrepreneur of the Month

    Richardson Plumbing was named Elbert County Entrepreneur of the month by the Chamber of Commerce.  On hand for the presentation were chamber representatives Lorrie Higginbotham, Jim Lloyd, Owner Danny Richardson, Richardson staff members Brandye Childs, Lamar Hughes, And chamber representative Michael Davis. The business was started by Danny's Father in 1960 and the son came on board four years later.
